We are Halloween ready, yes we are, we are Halloween ready, how 'bout you!??
This year, I actually attempted to discuss Halloween costumes with my 3 and 4 year old, giving them a variety of options to select from. In past years, we did superhero family, pirate & Tinker Bell, fireman & dalmatian (when Nora was 9 mos) and Harrison was a lion when he was a baby. I definitely didn't imagine a themed Halloween to be a long term trend, but here we are this year as an Alice in Wonderland family, marking 5 years of themed Halloween costumes!
It likely was spurred on a bit by one of our summer vacations to Dallas this year where we stayed at the Gaylord during their Alice in Wonderland themed Summerfest. The kiddos were exposed to a Mad Hatter tea, glow in the dark maze and a variety of walking characters each evening. When I presented the oldest with the option of the family dressing up as this theme, they agreed and I clicked order on the Oriental Trading website!
Little Miss Nora (3 1/2) was naturally a shoe-in for the Alice in Wonderland costume, and as you can see, she was proud to pose for the camera!!
Harrison (5 in November) is definitely the silly one of our household. The Mad Hatter costume couldn't be more of a perfect fit for his full of life, goofy sense of humor. I mean...that hat!!!!
These two are thick as thieves!! Only 15 months apart, they are the best of friends and always together!
Stay tuned on our social media channels for pics of hubbie and I wearing these coordinnting King and Queen of Hearts card costumes on Halloween! Yes, we reluctantly agreed to dress up this year along with the kids per their request!
