Camilla’s 1st flamingo birthday party was fitting considering the tropical, humid climate here in Houston during the heat of summer! When putting together the party’s details, we wanted to include traditional tropical details with a bit of whimsy, including age appropriate décor and activities for not only the birthday girl and her guests, but their older siblings.
Some details to look for include:
-Pineapple floral arrangements
-Pineapple cake ball pops
-Amazing 2 tier tropical flamingo birthday cake
-Donut hole towers
-Custom 1st year monthly photo display
-Flamingo sand bucket favors
Main Dessert Table
The centerpiece of this adorable dessert table is the 2 tier fondant cake by Whoo’s Bakery sitting atop a pink patterned gift wrap runner and teal table cloth base. For a touch of whimsy (and every kiddos’ favorite), we flanked the cake with two donut hole towers. On either end of the table were tropical floral arrangements sitting in carved out pineapples. To continue with the fun pineapple concept, we displayed pineapple cake ball pops on two pedestals.
To offer some color contrast, the children’s tables were covered in pink table cloths. Wide tropical floral arrangements topped with none other than pink plastic flamingos served as whimsical centerpieces. And, each place setting housed fun plastic sand buckets with flamingo decals which served as play toys during the party and their party favor.
